Tunis, Tunisia at the World Social Forum
A reflection meeting on the different Courts held in the last twenty years; this was held at the last World Social Forum and several ideas were proposed on how we should proceed.
Several imaginings of justice, existing jurisprudence and the need to continue or work moving from a retributives to restorative justice; from a justice of punishment to one where we can find ourselves in dignity, reparation and redressal.

Vimochana and the core group com[posed of fifteen Women’s human rights organization hosted the International gathering of the Women in Black, and held a World Court at the Mount Carmel college in the city. The Court focussed on Women and the Violence around conflict in times of wars; it also looked at the violence in times of peace.
